Started a Things You Didn’t Know You Needed series, as I find that at least once a month I order something from Amazon that is life-changing. Last time it was a rechargeable electric lighter that I don’t have to worry about replacing in 1 month, where the flame doesn’t blow out with the wind and where I don’t burn myself when trying to light a candle.
Laundry Bags to The Rescue
This time its laundry bags. I know laundry bags. Boring right? But guys! They are truly amazing! I got them originally for lace bras so they didn’t snag when washing/drying, but I’ve used them for so much more.

- Socks: I have to buy socks constantly. I’m always losing them. They get stuck to other clothes, the dogs wind up stealing them as a chew toy, they wind up in the kid’s rooms or any of the other ways socks can get lost. Not anymore. I take my socks off at night and I put them in one of my laundry bags and no more lost socks.
- Underwear: Not only is this a game-changer for delicate underwear so they don’t snag and lose shape, but these are a necessity in our house. My husband (I do love him) seems to not always know the difference between my underwear and my 17-year-olds underwear. I’m only about 60 pounds heavier.
- Bras: I have a few laced bras and bralettes and I have lost a couple over the years. Sometimes my lint trap in my dryer isn’t pushed all the way in and I’ve lost a lot of clothes that way. I’ve also noticed this helps them keep their shape longer.
- Cardigans, knitted sweaters, blouses: I didn’t expect to use the bags for these, but gave it a try after reading reviews. It helps cardigans and blouses keep their shape for longer and some of my shirts that have strings on them I will add to these bags as well.

They’ve held up really well and you can see the reviews rave about how durable they are. Check out in the reviews all the other ways that people use the bags, for organization, when traveling, and other creative uses.
You will get 7 bags for $13.99
- 2 for bras
- 1 extra-large bag
- 2 large bags
- 2 medium bags
Great tips! Laundry bags really are an item I never knew I needed. I do always use mine for sweaters and delicate tops. They’re also great for travel to keep those things organized and so you don’t lose something along the way (life if TSA digs around in there!).
Right!? I love them. That is a great idea for travel. I’m flying to FL at the end of this month and I will try them out for the trip. We are staying at a friend’s house so it will also help to keep things separated, like if we wash their towels and our bathing suits together or something similar. Thanks for the additional tip!
